Day 2: Just Glue It!

The value of the 5-minute collage

With an understanding of the three parts that make up our intuitive voice, the view shifts to the worktable, where I begin illustrating how the voice of the Art Critic can flare up even as we are gathering and preparing our materials.

Sometimes those internalized messages that block us from creating to our highest potential, are subtle. Beginning to understand how we doubt and second guess our decisions during the preparation process and through the timed 5-minute collage exercise is key.

Remember, we’re not trying to create our next masterpieces with these little works of art. We are using them as a tool to identify what is part of our Intuitive Voice response in the studio, serving us and encouraging us to follow our creative curiosity.
